In the summer the local carnival and summer fete are quite lovely. In the balmy sunny evenings several of our bars have live music. We have a pub that really is on the beach and you can sit in the Jolly Roger with a beer, ice cream and speciality ice cream for your pooch. We have a few cafes to delight your taste buds and can assure you they are spotlessly clean. Most of our shops are modern with several quite quaint little businesses. The grass probably isn’t cut as often as residents want but it does get cut and we have quite a lovely green. There is a big team of local residents that trawl the beach and village for rubbish every week. However, if you want a quiet village setting then Chapel St Leonards is the place for you. If you want big arcades, big business and big burgers go to Skeggy. The beach is accessed down a short flight of steps. The largest, is the Well Vale Car Park, located along Well Vale Drive, about 150 meters from the beach. There are a number of small car parks in the town of Chapel St Leonards, each one a short walk from the beach. As one would expect in a resort town there are also various caravan parks and resort-style attractions such as crazy golf, amusement arcades and children’s play areas.

There are plenty more facilities such as toilets, pubs, restaurants, shops and places to stay in the town of Chapel St Leonards. A little further north, there is a quieter section of beach towards Anderby Creek and Sandilands.Ī promenade runs alongside the beach, which boasts a pub, about 50 meters south of the main beach entrance.

It is a popular viewing point, particularly for bird watchers.

One mile north of the main beach entrance is Chapel Point, a defensive structure built during the Second World War. To the south, the beach leads to the larger resort town of Skegness, which is about 6 miles away.
